NOTICE. The latest edition of the Primer (book)—Tenth Edition, copyright 2016— is included with the audio (CD) program. (While supply lasts [!!], still a bargain at little more than the cost of a new casebook.)
NOTE! 2016 review of the audio program indicates that in only very minor aspects is it not still unerringly on target. (E.g., references to “IIMD” [intentional infliction of mental distress], now IIED [emotional distress], and “writing,” not “typing” exams. Based upon over 20 years and hundreds of live programs, it certainly should be on target!) A nice feature is reference to typical student live program questions/reactions. The 10th edition of the Primer improves instruction respecting analysis presentation, and especially exam-focused, 2-4 line case briefing. It adds new insights and emphasis. It is compatible with the (2004) audio program. However, pages in older editions of the Primer referred to must be referenced to those in the new edition. This translation will accompany all new Primers. Your attention is directed to the free, downloadable book at this website—Gaming Emperor Law School. W. Miller/LEEWS |
Audio Program Cost, Ordering Information
Audio (CD) Program
Orders will be filled immediately. They are shipped priority mail via US postal service, and should be received 2-4 business days after being placed, sooner for express orders.
Two weeks (even days) is enough time to grasp and implement the system for pulling apart essays to (systematically!) identify issues. However, respecting “loading the toolbox,” course outlining and other preparation aspects, especially building skill at analysis, be sure to get started on your program immediately. See page 125 of the Primer—”What to Do When It’s Late in the Game”— for what needs to be accomplished between now and exams.
No more nervousness! Be comforted by the fact that, over many years, students who took the early December live program in NYC (days before exams) improved greatly and typically outperformed classmates. (There is simply that much law students need to know about this process and don’t.)
NOTE. LEEWS CDs are like older music CDs. They are not DVR (no video). CDs can be downloaded to ipods/mp3 players, etc. much like music CDs (via i-tune or j-tune type program on a computer). Some will have to acquire a CD player. (Sorry. $5 at thrift stores.) |
AUDIO CD PROGRAM Featuring updated Primer, Tenth Edition Click image to enlarge and |
The audio program (so long as you do it!) has long proved as effective, probably more effective than live programs were. In addition to 8 CDs (approx. 70 min. each), you get the (new) Primer and a set of 30 diagrams (corresponding to what is put on a blackboard or flipchart during a live program). Total cost is $235 US (includes shipping and handling).
A copy of the Primer comes with the audio program. Additional (extra) copies ($60 when ordered separately [(incl. shipping], may be ordered together with the audio program at $50 per copy. NOTE. Primer cover, white or yellow, differs from earlier edition depicted. NOTE! 2016 review of the audio program indicates that in only very minor aspects is it not still unerringly on target. (E.g., references to “IIMD” [intentional infliction of mental distress], now IIED [emotional distress], and “writing,” not “typing” exams. It is compatible with the (2004) audio program. However, pages in older editions of the Primer referred to must be referenced to those in the new edition. This translation will accompany all new Primers. The program is sent priority mail via post office. It will be mailed immediately upon receipt of order, and should arrive at most destinations within 3-4 days. The package is approximately 13″ x 15″ x 2″ (larger, if priority shipping box), and will not fit in most mailboxes. No signature is required. However, should no one be there to receive it and normal practice of the postal carrier is NOT to leave packages, a note will typically be left to pick up the item. You should ascertain the normal postal practice regarding packages. As suggested by the many titles/facets shown left, LEEWS is thoroughgoing and unique. Lest you be daunted by the CD contents at left (as much as intrigued), be assured of the BOTTOM LINE. You’ll know (finally!) HOW TO ANALYZE “AS A LAWYER” ( thereby HOW, properly, to learn the law); you’ll have a PROVEN SYSTEM for taking control of ANY essay exercise and breaking it down into manageable components (that reveal relevant issues); you’ll PRESENT ANALYSIS IN CONCISE PARAGRAPHS THAT IMPRESS (roughly one per issue); you’ll BRIEF CASES IN 2-4 LINES, TAKE LESS THAN A PAGE OF CLASS NOTES PER HOUR, and PRODUCE 30-50 PAGE COURSE OUTLINES. Most important, you’ll enjoy law school more, while competing for top grades. |
LEEWS Primer (“Primer”)
“Yes!” The new Primer (Tenth Edition, copyright 2016, 2018) is substantially improved and (136-184 pp.) expanded. It incorporates lessons learned and insights since publication of the previous edition. The previous version, of course (along with audio program), proved highly effective for many years.

Tenth Edition [184 vs. former 136 PP.] (Contains [Chap. 14] improved 5-step system for class prep [2-4 line case briefing plus!], weekly course outlining, etc.) Click image to enlarge |
The 10th edition of the 184 page (formerly 136 page) Primer is, naturally, the best articulated, most complete version yet. Copyright 2016, it is included in the cost of either live or audio versions of LEEWS. The Primer alone may be ordered for $60, (includes priority mailing and handling). Although this latest edition presents LEEWS better than any previous, including a step-by-step, more polished articulation of the revolutionary 2-4 line, exam-focused alternative to ineffective, time-wasting, conventional case briefing, our experience over many years is that it is difficult to grasp LEEWS from book alone.
It’s not that the Primer is incomplete. To the contrary, after ten revisions it is the best effort yet at putting LEEWS in print. However, the many facets of the LEEWS Science, the newness and unfamiliarity of constructs and process… It is unlikely you will commit yourself to the effort required to grasp the approach from book alone without more assurance the effort is worth it. The audio (and live) programs provide assurance. They guide you through the many facets, keep you going. The Primer is most useful as a reference, a refresher. Should you later decide to purchase the audio program, a $40 credit for having the Primer will be given toward the cost of the audio program. |
